Commercial and Investor Construction Loans

Construction financing for ground-up commercial, multifamily, and investor projects. Nationwide.

Submit a Deal

Construction loans fund ground-up projects and major renovations. Funds are generally disbursed in draws as work is completed and inspected. Because the asset doesn't exist yet, lenders place heavy weight on the budget, the plans and permits, the contractor, and the sponsor's track record.

Projects can range from a small spec home or townhomes for an investor-builder to multifamily, self storage, or commercial buildings. I review every project personally and then with one of NEXA Lending's in-house commercial lenders, using access to a large network of commercial lenders to look at fitting construction sources.

How I work your construction request

Here's how I work on every request. You send the basics: property or business, location, amount, and purpose. I personally review the scenario and ask whatever follow-up questions are needed to understand it properly. Then I review it with one of NEXA Lending's in-house commercial lenders, and together we look at realistic options. NEXA Lending provides access to a large network of commercial lenders, so the search isn't limited to a single bank's appetite.

You'll get a straight answer on what looks workable and what doesn't. If we move forward, I stay involved and work with the in-house lender and with you through closing. There is no cost or obligation to submit a scenario, and nothing on this page is an offer or a commitment to lend. Pricing and terms depend on the property, the borrower, and the market at the time.

Questions about construction financing

Do I need permits before applying?

Not necessarily to start the conversation, but lenders generally want permits or a clear path to them before closing.

Is the land counted toward my contribution?

Owned land often counts toward the equity requirement, depending on the lender and how long you've owned it.
